Our Energy: Understanding the Seven Chakras
A Note from a Friend
By Jeff Nursey — The Miracle Man
Hello, my friend.
My name is Jeff, and I’m glad you’re here.
One of the greatest blessings of my journey has been discovering that there is always something new to learn. Whether it’s nutrition, faith, frequencies, exercise, gratitude, or simply becoming a better person, I’ve learned to keep an open mind.
Today, I’d like to share something that has fascinated millions of people around the world for thousands of years: the seven chakras.
Maybe you’ve heard the word before. Maybe you’ve wondered what it means or why so many people are interested in it.
Let’s explore it together.
What Are Chakras?
The concept of chakras has roots in ancient South Asian spiritual traditions and continues to appear today in practices such as yoga and meditation.
The word chakra comes from a Sanskrit word meaning “wheel” or “circle.” In the most familiar modern system, the seven chakras are described as symbolic energy centers extending from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each is traditionally associated with a location, color, and different aspects of physical, emotional, or spiritual life.
It is important to understand that chakras are not recognized by mainstream medicine as anatomical structures or scientifically established energy centers. Some people approach them as part of a spiritual tradition, while others use the seven areas simply as a framework for personal reflection.
When life feels balanced, we may feel energized, peaceful, and connected. During seasons of stress, grief, fear, or emotional pain, we may describe ourselves as feeling “stuck” or out of balance.
Whether you embrace the traditional concept of chakras or simply use the seven themes as prompts to examine different areas of your life, they can invite you to slow down and pay attention to your overall well-being.
The Seven Chakras
1. Root Chakra — Stability

A question for reflection: Do I feel stable in my life?

The sacral chakra is traditionally connected with creativity, playfulness, joy, relationships, and emotional expression.
A question for reflection: Am I creating a life I enjoy?
3. Solar Plexus Chakra — Confidence

This center is traditionally associated with confidence, purpose, determination, and personal strength.
A question for reflection: Do I believe in myself?
4. Heart Chakra — Love
Traditional color: Green
Traditional location: Center of the chest
The heart chakra is traditionally associated with compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, kindness, gratitude, and love.
A question for reflection: Is there someone I need to forgive—including myself?
5. Throat Chakra — Communication
Traditional color: Blue
Traditional location: Throat
This center is traditionally associated with truthfulness, honest expression, and using your voice with confidence.
A question for reflection: Am I speaking with kindness, truth, and integrity?
6. Third-Eye Chakra — Wisdom
Traditional color: Indigo
Traditional location: Between the eyebrows
The third-eye chakra is traditionally associated with intuition, imagination, clarity, learning, and inner wisdom.
A question for reflection: Am I listening to wisdom—or just noise?
7. Crown Chakra — Spiritual Connection
Traditional colors: Violet or white
Traditional location: Top of the head
The crown chakra is traditionally associated with peace, purpose, hope, and connection with something greater than ourselves.
A question for reflection: Am I making time to nourish my spirit?
What Do I Believe?
People often ask me what I believe.
Here’s my answer:
I believe God created us in amazing ways.
I believe our bodies are wonderfully designed.
I believe our thoughts matter.
I believe stress affects us.
I believe gratitude can change our perspective.
I believe forgiveness brings freedom.
I believe healthy relationships are medicine for the soul.
And I believe every day gives us another opportunity to become a little healthier, a little kinder, and a little closer to the person God created us to be.
Whether you embrace the traditional concept of chakras or simply use these themes as reminders to pay attention to different areas of your life, I hope this encourages you to slow down, reflect, and invest in your whole-person wellness.
